    Roles & Responsibilities

    Marketing
    - Execute marketing initiatives to promote business development for members
    - Lead projects aimed to market and promote Sidney businesses through print and digital media platforms
    - Negotiate leveraged marketing opportunities for the Society and its members
    - Ensure the website is kept up to date including updated content and images
    - Manage the Sidney BIA social media accounts
    - Curate information for destination marketing initiatives
    - Work closely with members to ensure reasonable coverage of member businesses
    - Ensure all initiatives support the vision of the Strategic Plan
    - Represent the Sidney BIA at tourism showcases and conferences
    - Accurately track and record all expenditures within the parameters of the budget
    - Contribute monthly to the Sidney Event Advisory Group
    - Assist in facilitation of events specific to the Sidney business sector
    - Work collaboratively with stakeholders and volunteers to disseminate Sidney event information

    Sidney Visitor Services
    - Responsible for the delivery of services at the Sidney Beacon Avenue Information Centre, the Washington State Ferry Terminal, and satellite event stations as required
    - Manage, recruit, and schedule shifts for 75 volunteer Visitor Service Counsellors
    - Contribute to the development and monitoring of an operational budget for the Information Centre
    - Develop and implement an inventory control system for publications and establish a brochure acceptance policy
    - Liaise with Destination British Columbia and Ministry of Transportation staff
